Before applying

Care needs structure.

Volunteer work should feel meaningful and safe for everyone involved. Each accepted role should come with a clear task, privacy expectations, relevant guidance, and a person to contact.

Be respectful, dependable, and willing to follow instructions.
Protect private information and ask before taking or sharing photos.
Stay within the role and raise concerns early.
Work calmly with people from different backgrounds and identities.

Important: Volunteers are not asked to act as therapists, crisis responders, lawyers, or medical professionals unless properly qualified, formally assigned, and operating within an appropriate service.
