The Department of Social Welfare and Development says the value of assistance provided to communities affected by the enhanced southwest monsoon and recent tropical cyclones has surpassed ₱1.09 billion.

A DSWD Disaster Response Operations Management, Information and Communication report cited in current reporting says the agency had distributed 1.66 million family food packs, 13,864 non-food items, 22,993 ready-to-eat food items and ₱2.76 million in financial assistance as of 6:00 AM Saturday.
